Client Care Specialist

Sarah’s own dog, Pablo, is the inspiration behind her love for animals and her passion for their healthcare. When she first adopted Pablo as a puppy in 2015, Sarah had a realization: no matter how bad her day may had been, she could always come home to her dog’s positivity, companionship, and unconditional love. For Sarah, getting to spend her days nurturing and strengthening those bonds for other pet owners is a dream come true! She’s Dixie Road Pet Clinic’s Customer Care Coordinator, and also serves the area’s pets as a Veterinary Assistant.

Sarah grew up in Malton but moved to Brampton with her family shortly before her high-school years. She’s been here ever since! After having her son and being on maternity leave for a year, Sarah decided to return to the workforce—she was thrilled to accept a position at Dixie Road Pet Clinic, and couldn’t be happier to launch her journey in veterinary medicine here. One of Sarah’s favourite parts of the job is speaking to clients about the hospital’s wellness program, and she never tires of meeting adorable companions on a daily basis!

Most of Sarah’s free time away from the clinic is spent with her family. Along with Pablo, Sarah shares her home with her boyfriend, C.J., and her young son, Aliath.

Client Care Specialist

In Nicole’s experience, pets provide just as much of a consistent, steady support system in life as any human family member is capable of. She’s always wanted to be surrounded by people who love and need their animal companions as much as she does! Now, Nicole is able to pair her strong background in customer service with her lifelong love for animals—she’s a Client Care Specialist here at Dixie Road Pet Clinic.

A Brampton native, Nicole had previously served in a management role at a local company and began to feel that it was time for a change. After her maternity leave ended, she decided to jump headfirst into the veterinary profession—that’s when she joined the team here at Dixie Road Pet Clinic! Nicole has been a part of the clinic family since April of 2018 and serves as a Client Care Specialist. She loves soaking up knowledge from her fellow staff members, and she’s found that she has a special affinity for puppy and kitten visits in the exam rooms.

Nicole lives with her young son, Nathan (who is already turning into a huge animal lover just like his mother!). When she finds a spare moment between her busy work schedule and family life, Nicole enjoys arts and crafts, and particularly likes completing DIY projects around the house. As a family, they love going to the park or visiting Nathan’s grandparents in Oshawa. Registered Veterinary Technician

As a five-year-old, Jashelle wanted to be many things when she grew up, one of which was a veterinarian. As she got a bit older, her focus narrowed: working hands-on with animals was the only thing she wanted to do! Jashelle’s passion simply hasn’t quit. Now, she helps animals every day as a Registered Veterinary Technician.

Jashelle was born in Mississauga, Ontario but grew up here in Brampton. She began volunteering at the Brampton Animal Shelter while she was still in high school, then enrolled in Sheridan College’s veterinary technology program immediately after graduation. She earned her Veterinary Technician certifications in April of 2018, and continued to help pets in the hospital that she had worked for throughout college. When Jashelle passed her Veterinary Technician National Exam that August, she decided to look for a greater opportunity—that’s when she joined the Dixie Road Pet Clinic family!

Jashelle has been a member of the team since September of 2018. As a Tech, she particularly likes assisting with surgeries and helping to educate pet owners on the best care techniques for their companions. For her, helping others to understand their pets’ health in the most thorough way possible is especially rewarding.

At home, Jashelle and her family share their lives with an orange tabby cat, Taelz, whose favourite thing to do is wrestle with his stuffed dog toy. When she isn’t helping pets here at the clinic or spending time with friends and family, Jashelle enjoys working out, swimming, reading, playing the piano, traveling, and doing fashion, runway, and commercial modeling. The highlight of her modeling career so far came in 2018, when she got to walk the runway during New York City’s Fashion Week!

Client Care Specialist

Britt has always been an empathetic and enthusiastic “people person,” and she has a strong background in customer service. Coupled with her love for animals, working at the front desk of a veterinary hospital simply made sense! Britt is a proud member of the Dixie Road Pet Clinic team and serves the area’s pets and animal parents as a Client Care Specialist.

Britt is from Brampton, Ontario and spent several years working for the city; one of her favourite parts of the job was finding stray pets during the course of her duties and returning them to the Brampton Animal Shelter! After a brief time spent serving under another contract with the city, she decided to jump headfirst into veterinary medicine—that’s when Britt signed on with the Dixie Road Pet Clinic family.

Away from the hospital, Britt enjoys teaching children—she even has a second job helping kids with their learning abilities!—and going kayaking and canoeing in the great outdoors. She’s also an avid Harry Potter fan and holds a movie marathon every year. Britt has two cats at home: the sweet and cuddly Ella, who is the least agile cat Britt has ever known and often has to be lifted by hand to the top of her cat tower; and the more independent Finn, whose favorite prank is stealing socks from the sock drawer and throwing them down the stairs.
