Greg may be new to the Dixie Road team, but he’s certainly no stranger to the animal care industry. In fact, upon joining as one of our veterinary technicians, Greg brought with him 15 years of hands-on experience in clinics as well as shelters and emergency hospitals. He is excited to be part of a team that helps pets enjoy happy and healthy lives, from newborn through the senior years.
Greg’s career in animal care began as a groomer. Over time, he kept learning and gaining more skills, working his way up to the technician role. In addition to interacting with animals every day, Greg is passionate about educating owners on the importance of helping their pets enjoy a balanced lifestyle. He also enjoys new puppy and kitten visits, as well as sharing knowledge about proper pet nutrition.
At home, Greg has one dog of his own – Lily, who was rescued from a fighting facility in Quebec. Not surprisingly, she’s not comfortable with other dogs, however, helping her find balance and happiness has made it all worthwhile. An avid musician, Greg plays both the drums and bass. He also enjoys skateboarding and playing hockey.

Alex has known she wanted to work in the veterinary field since she was just four years old. Aside from the typical princess/ballerina stuff, she’s never wanted to do anything else. As she got older, her deep love of animals was complemented by a growing fascination with medicine. Choosing the veterinary field gave Alex the perfect opportunity to combine her two passions into one fulfilling career!
Like most of her colleagues, Aaliyah grew up with an innate love of animals. There was always this fascination with the great outdoors, the animals that live there, and why they do the things they do. At the age of six, Aaliyah made up her mind that she would one day work in the veterinary industry and has not wavered from that decision since. Her role as a veterinary assistant allows her to combine her passion for pets with her interest in biology. Plus, she gets to cuddle with puppies and kittens every day!
